Filing questions, answered.

What is an SEC filing summary?
A short, plain-English account of what a company told the SEC in a filing and why it might matter, written from the filing itself. Vero writes one for each new 8-K, 10-Q and 10-K on the stocks you follow, scores it from 1 to 10 for importance and links the original on SEC EDGAR.
What is an 8-K filing?
An 8-K is a current report a U.S. public company files with the SEC to announce a major event, usually within four business days. Each event has an item number: 2.02 is quarterly results, 1.01 a material agreement, 5.02 a change of directors or officers. Vero's summary names the items in plain words.
What is the difference between a 10-Q and a 10-K?
A 10-Q is the quarterly report, filed for each of the first three fiscal quarters, with unaudited financial statements. A 10-K is the annual report, with audited financial statements, a description of the business and its risk factors.
How quickly does Vero pick up a new filing?
Vero's watchlist monitor is scheduled to run every 15 minutes, reading new SEC filings for every stock on a watchlist. Prices are separate: end-of-day closes from IEX, published the next trading day.
Are filing summaries free?
Yes. Summaries and importance scores for news and SEC filings are on the Free plan, for up to 3 stocks with no card. Paid plans follow more stocks (25 on Pro, 100 on Max).
Does a filing summary tell me whether to buy or sell?
No. Vero explains what a filing says and how much it may matter; it never tells you to buy or sell. AI summaries can be wrong, which is why every one links the filing so you can check it.
